Halloween Business

In Japan, halloween business has been heating up and is a social phenomena.
November 2011 to September 2014, transition of total sales of ”Yahoo!Shopping” shows that sales in September and October grow by over 130% by year by year.
The number of searches of ”Christmas”, ”Valentine” and “Halloween” in “Yahoo!Searching” shows that “Christmas” and “Valentine” grow by about 120% by year, but “Halloween” do by about 150% by year.
Now, halloween has become a national event in Japan. I think that it is useful for understanding other culture and Japanese economy.

    I think that halloween is getting more popular just like “Christmas”, “Valentine” and “Whiteday” recently because of the spread of halloween goods. I’d like to suggest that the sales companys should develop the goods of “Aprilfool” which help to popularize it, learning from the situation.
