According to CNN, an Ohio man, William Brock, shot a female Uber driver, mistakenly believing she was part of a scheme to defraud him. Before the incident, Brock had received a phone call which threatened to harm him and his family. When the Uber driver arrived at his house, he immediately shot her assuming that she had come to offend him. Authorities believe that the person who ordered the driver to Brock’s house was either the main culprit or an accomplice. In addition, the company Uber say that the applicable account was banned and that they had developed their safety features for the drivers.

In my opinion, William Brock deserves whatever punishment he receives due to the fact that he did not know for sure who the visitor was when he shot the gun. However, in this case, I believe that Brock’s claim needs to be confirmed and the motive behind the incident should be uncovered by the main culprit before the trial.
