Some people from abroad might be surprised when they come to Japan for a variety of reasons, but one reason is because of cultural differences between their countries and Japan. One of the videos explain that people in Japan do not have to tip in restaurants whereas in North America, for example, they have to tip 15% to 20% of your bill. People from the area might be surprised that this culture does not exist in Japan even if the service is always fantastic and all the employees greet the costumers no matter what the level of the stores is. The next thing is that Japan is filled with cute things. For example, if you open the bank account in Japan, you will receive the bank book. Of course, you will expect it to be serious, but you will probably find something cute such as a cartoon of a very cute mouse on the front page of the book. Therefore, a speaker from The UK call it the cuteness of everything in Japan because there is still room for cute things even though something has to be serious.
