The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 American comedy-drama film directed by David Frankel  and produced by Wendy Finerman. The screenplay, written by Aline Brosh McKenna, is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name. The film adaptation stars Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, a powerful fashion magazine editor, and Anne Hathaway as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, a college graduate who goes to New York City and lands a job as Priestly’s co-assistant.

Andy wanted to be a journalist, but she work as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine although she is not interested in fashion. Miranda imposed a lot of work to Andy and she tried her best although she sometimes wanted to give up. Finally, Miranda admitted Andy, but she chose to live as she is.

This film’s attraction is its fashion. We can see how Andy are refined through working in fashion magazine publisher.

This film pose a question, “which is important, work or life?” Miranda made a great success in work, but she does not care about her family. Andy prioritize her work before, but she chose to cherish her boyfriend and friends. This film tells what people most put importance is different.
