This time I will write about the music video for “Gunjou biyori” in Tokyo Jihen.
It starts with the spotlight shining on the vocalist, Ringo Shina. Her body is sweaty and warm, and her face is hot and red. In addition, the hair is rough. This kind of crafted visual creates the ennui and dull feeling of this MV.
At the beginning of singing, Ms．Ringo has a gaze that we can’t know exactly where she is looking. However, as soon as the lyrics “Tokyo is getting cold blue”, she suddenly opens her eyes and changes to looking at the camera.
There is a scene where she steps on something with black high heels at this timing. From here, the song gets excited as if gear had entered.
In last chorus, she looks at the camera again and sings in a sweet atmosphere as if asking the lyrics, “Is there an answer?”
At the end of the excitement, she sings emotionally with a crying face, but at the last,  she holds her mouth and grins. This unexpectedness is very impressive.
Not many cuts are used in this MV, it has a very simple structure. Nonetheless, the vocal’s characteristic and provocative facial expressions and gaze leave a sufficient impact.
