“Emily in Paris” (2020) is an American comedy-drama web television series on Netflix started from October 2nd, 2020.

Emily, a young American girl, is asked to bring an American point of view into French marketing firm from her workplace in the US and starts work in Paris, her dream city. In Paris, she faces a lot of cultural differences, in addition, she is often looked down by her colleagues and her boss. However, she overcomes the hard time with her unique personality and business ability.

I found that this TV series describes the culture differences between America and France very well although it is true that it contains some stereotypes. For example, French people take apart work and private, on the other hand, American mix with each other in general. In the story, Emily brings up business talk at the party, then French people around her make a face at this time. I can enjoy finding this kind of interesting cultural differences a lot in the story as well as I feel her strong heart and ability. This TV series is available only 10 stories so far, and to be continue.
