I watched “a” in my Academic English class on June 26. This video is about women’s rights and the media’s manipulation of information. After watching this video, I realized that I have to think about women again. “A woman must be beautiful, young, and submissive.” Women are always pointed out about their bodies and appearance. Even the fact that it’s not right is made transparent in the current state of media. And while there are about the same number of women and men on this planet, the contrast between the numbers of men and women regarding the various positions in the film is not equal. The idea that “men have to earn more money and be smarter than women” is causing gender discrimination. Men who hold this view, when women who make more money and are smarter than them appear, can’t accept them. These men use violence, power, and all other forms of force to keep them down. I really want to change this crazy situation. Then, everyone in the world should look at women as a person, not as a sex object. I sincerely hope that the world will become a better place for women to live in the future.
