“Ajin” is one of the Japanese films I watched over and over again.  It is the story about new kind of creature which is called “Ajin”.

It looks like human but has an tremendous ability for physical regeneration.  Even if Ajin suffers a fatal wound, they can gets cured perfectly by dying once.  From this special characteristic, Ajin is used for abusive experiments by government.

At the beginning of the story, Nagai proves to be the third Ajin in Japan because of dying from an car accident.  He is immediately caught and bring to Reserch Institute for Ajin.  Fierce human experiments afflict him very much.  But after a few days, two men come to the institute to let him go.  They are the first and second Ajin in Japan, whose names are Sato and Tanaka.  It is surely good for Nagai to escape together with them.  But he doesn’t choose doing so and fights a conflict.

Their battle is the most important part of the film and movie technology is very exciting.  Computer graphics and sound effects also give us a you-are-there feeling.  I want to watch “Ajin” repeatedly as if Ajin repeats their endless life.
