In class we watched the movie East is East. It is a movie which takes place in England and the main characters are a Pakistan family. Their father, George Khan expects his family to follow his Pakistani Muslim ways so he always tells his children and his wife what to do and what to not do. But his children and his wife are all brought up in Britian so they are seeing themselves as British and don’t want to follow their father’s Pakistani Muslim ways.

At first I really didn’t like the father because he is always bossy and even though he says it is for the children, I thought that he was only thinking of himself. But at the end when everyone rejected him and he became alone, I felt sorry for him.
