In Japan, virtually all people have places to live, and their lifes are protected by stable houses. However, there are many people which do not have their own houses. The number of people like this has reached 10 billion.

In United States, a NGO organization which is called “Habitat For Humanity” published in 1976. They aims”A world where everyone has a deent place to live” and provides the oppotunity to go country which needs help.

This organization also have student branch. Many Japanese universities, for example, Nihon, ikkyo, Sophia, Waseda, and Aoyama Gakuin have joined it and make an oppotunity to go volunteer. Last Spring, 7 teams were dispatch to different countries. Most countries are in east asia, and over 150 students went to bulid houses.

It is not only important for people in poor countries, but also for students because they can know real situation by seeing with their own eyes and consider about poverty deeply.

However, there is challenge for students to join this program. Going to one country for two weeks to do volunteer, it costs 200000 yen. It is difficult to prepare for university students.

In conclusion, there is good organazation to save people who do not have their own houses, but to join program is difficult for students. This activity should be known by many people and should be supported.
