On this Friday, a new law was established. It put a ban on universities in the twenty-three wards of Tokyo to accept in excess of the capacity for the next ten years. The government makes an attempt on the regional revitalization.

However, Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko, takes objection to the law. She says that it is important to improve academic abilities for globalization at first.

I have two ideas about this news.

First, this new law is against students of the countryside. I think the big reason of that many students who enter the universities in urban area is difference of educational environment. Many universities in urban area is highly developed in education, but some of rural universities are not. Moreover, living in urban area is fascinating for many freshmen. Therefore, overconcentration is occurred.

Second, reputation of universities is related to overconcentration, and establishing new law. When students think about their future career, They tend to choose university which has a good reputation. On the contrary, rural universities are not known well.

Related to these two ideas, I also chose this university because of its reputation and location. If I went to rural university, I would not enjoy studying and daily life.

To solve overconcentration problem, I think rural universities should make an effort to earn reputation, for example, improve educational environment or curriculum.
