Last week, I saw a movie call “If Cats Disappeared from the World” in my house.

This is a 2016 Japanese drama film by Akira Nagai. The story is about a young man, got brain cancer, met with a person who looks exactly same as him appeared in front of him. A young man thought the person in front of him is the “devil.” The devil said to the man that he will die tomorrow, but to have another day instead of dying, devil suggested a negotiation to the man. To get another day to live, he should remove one type of thing from the world. The man agreed with this suggestion, and the devil removed things like phones, clocks, movies, and cats.

It was very interesting story, and I liked it. Especially, the part when the main character focuses on the world how different from the man’s backstory and the world without the removed items. This part made me very sad, because every item has memories and some kinds of connections with his family and friends. After the things was removed, all that kinds of connections also vanished.  

This movie told us that, there are no unnecessary things exist in this world, so everything cannot be removed.
