Recently, there has been a big problem with the declining birthrate in Japan. As a result, depopulated areas have been increasing and the doughnut effect that Young people move to cities and elderly people live alone in the suburbs has happened. According to the experts, many factors contribute to this problem such as late marriages, women’s social advancement, principal childbearing, childcare, and government policy and support.

I think this problem is not easy to solve. The government should come up with policies that take the younger generation into consideration more, and the younger generation should participate more actively in politics. The opinion that immigration is acceptable is a difficult one. Language, religion, culture, and money… In any case, the nation and the citizens need to connect closely, and we need to consider the declining birthrate as an international issue.
