I watched Japanese movie “The 700 days battle between us and the policeman” which is called “Bokuchu” in Japanese. The main characters are boys who belong to a high school in a small town in Tochigi prefecture and a man who called “Chu-zai”, a policeman living in a residential police box near the high school. The boys like mischief and usually play tricks on adults. However, one day, “Chu-zai” appears in the town and tries to controll them. Boys rebel against Chu-zai in many ways, for example, they make the policeman fall into a trap, but he does not give up. In this movie, the battle of them during summer vacation is focused. The story is based on real experiences of one of the boys. The interesting points of this movie are, first of all, it illustrates the life of people in rural area of Tochigi prefecture in a high quality. The trends of 1990s are introduced a lot, for instance, some men in a cafe play a game called “Invader Game”, which was popular video game at that time. The movie also uses music which was famous in the past. In addition,  the performance of actors are really great. The battle between a boy performed by Ichihara Hayato and the policeman performed by Sasaki Kuranosuke is one of the most funny scene in this movie. I recommend this movie for people who want to enjoy a comedy movie.
