Restrictions on social media

What do you do if you are not able to get information from social media?
There are some cases in which the government made strict rules on social media and, even worse, banned some apps or websites.
For example, last February, Russia launched a military invasion of Ukraine, and then the Russian government restricted social media access because they needed to make citizens believe that Russia was right and not doing any inhumane things to other countries.
In China, people can’t use Google, Instagram, YouTube and so on. Instead, they use apps approved by the government such as Weibo and WeChat.
I think the problem here is that the information they get is biased and limited. Of course, even if there is plenty of information, some people reach the correct one, and some don’t. However, biased and limited information could be a fear or threat and make nations more dictatorial.
Right before the nuclear-treated water was discharged in Fukushima prefecture, someone commented that salt is protective from the water, and many of them believed that comment and went to buy salt in a rush.
I think this movement is way too much, so the government should approve their rights to access information(rights to know) and make fewer restrictions on social media.
