This time, I would like to introduce my most favorite Korean drama, “Reply 1988.” There are three works, 1997, 1994, and 1988 in “Reply” series, and 1988 is the last one in the series. It is considered to have caused social phenomena. There are a lot of appealing features in this drama, and I am going to explain about them.

Before my explaining, this series are stories about the love lives of the main characters from high school to adulthood. Therefore, the work allows us to see both the present day and the state of Korea at that time.

The first appealing feature is the love story of the heroine from high school days to the present, which could be called her search for a husband. There are a lot of heart-warming scenes in this love story.

The second is the nostalgic 1980’s era scenery. In Korea,1988 was the year the Seoul Olympics were held, and at the same time, it was a time of great urban development. In the drama, you can see the situation in Korea at that time, and you miss the small life of your family and neighbors living in an alley where little remains today.
