Slam Dunk is a Japanese basketball anime.  The most famous Japanese basketball anime.  In this anime, the main character Hanamichi Sakuragi and his high school teammates aim to be the best in Japan.  He is very physical and a key person in the team.  Although he is a beginner in basketball, he improves his basketball and wins many games.  I really like this anime.

There are two reasons.  First, he is so pure.  He practices hard for his favorite girl and his favorite basketball. He looks like a bad guy because he sometimes commits violence, but he has a strong sense of justice and is pure. I like his personality. Second, his teammates are unique.  Each time, we will see an interesting development in the anime.  It’s a long anime, but it doesn’t bore me. And all teammates are cool. They are good at basketball, and they are interesting.  For these reasons, I recommend this anime.
