Why do many people use social media? They would use it for getting information, fulfilling their desire for recognition, and so on. Social media is very comfortable and interesting. However, it can be also a dangerous weapon depending on how it is used, and sometimes kills people.

Recently, Kimura Hana, who was a professional wrestler and 22 years old, committed suicide. She appeared on terrace house which is a very famous Japanese love variety show on TV. Then, she had been blamed on Instagram over her behavior in this TV program. She was deeply hurt by countless abuse through her Instagram. As a result, she generated hydrogen sulfide at home, and she killed herself. The last post she liked on Instagram was “If you are gone, everyone is happy. Disappear quickly.” Since this TV show is popular all over the world as well, this tragedy has been featuring worldwide.

Now, most people use social media as a place where everyone can tell their opinions freely. To put it another way, we can hurt someone easily and anonymously. We need to use social media not to hurt people but for entertainment. I think this case was not a suicide. It is clearly a murder by countless people.
