Greta Thunberg, 16-year-old Swedish made a speech about environment at UN. She described how much CO2 have been emitted these days and what is happening on the earth in English. She pointed out that it is not sensible to continue developing for economic growth. From beginning to end, she expressed anger against adult. That’s because current children or future generation should solve environmental problems which current adult generation caused.

Indeed, today’s environmental problem is deep issue. Therefore many countries have been taking various actions to maintain environments. Her claim looks fair however, it has little realistic point of view. When we produce something, we use petroleum-derived substances. When we transport products, we burn fossil fuel. To maintain our lives, it doesn’t go without using fossil resources and emitting CO2. Sentimental insistence like her did is easy, but people don’t live to just work on environmental problems.

She’s angry at adult as one of world children, but in some cultures, 16 is old enough for recognized as an adult. It’s not alright for her to just complaining. Screaming ‘right’ argument looked sensational, but it didn’t make any new or concrete ideas. If Greta really want to work on environmental problems, she should study hard for now to make up concrete solutions in the future.
