This is a live-action film of Disney animation movie in 1991.

There is a prince who is under a spell of becoming the Beast because of his selfishness and heartlessness.  On the other hand, a beautiful girl whose name is Belle is called strange in her village, because she loves reading.

Belle’s father gets caught up in Beast’s castle for stealing a rose, so that Belle sacrifices herself to rescue her father.  In response to this, furniture in this castle consider Belle might be the one who breaks the spell, so they start to encourage Belle and the Beast to get along.

Moreover, Gaston falls in love with Belle at once, tries to get her heart.  He treats her father cruelly, and tries to defeat the Beast.

Eventually, Gaston falls and the spell gets broken because of Belle’s love for the Beast.

One of the reasons I think this movie is created with very high quality, is that it faithfully reproduces  the original animation version of Disney movie.  For example, the village around Belle in the beginning scene is perfectly reproduced as an animation.

I will state two of my favorite scenes.  The first one is when Belle and the Beast reach out to each other.  Although they hated each other in the beginning, they start to know gentleness of each other and start to care about each other bit by bit.  The scene they look in each other’s eyes is very romantic and beautiful.  The second one is the reception in the last scene.  Dresses they wear and architecture of castle are very gorgeous, and overwhelming.
