Orphan is a 2009 psychological horror film.

The plot centers on a couple, Kate and John, who, after the death of their unborn child, adopt a mysterious 9-year-old girl, Esther, from the local orphanage. While Kate and John’s deaf-mute daughter Maxine “Max” embraces Esther almost immediately, their 12-year-old son Daniel is less welcoming.

At first, Esther is good girl, but sometimes she shows some strange heritages such as she never took a bath without lock the door, and she never take off ribbons from her neck and wrist.

Strange incidents occur one after another around Esther. Kate wander if Esther have something to do with these incidents, but she looks a child, nobody trusts Kate.

Who is Esther? Nobody knows because she kill the one who try to know who she is…
