A Maritime Self-Defence Force helicopter carrier joined a U.S. Navy vessel in the Pacific on May 1 for the first protection mission under security legislation  that took effect last year. The mission came at a time of high tensions over North Korea, and was a show of strength aimed at preventing North Korea from doing nuclear and missile tests. “It is extremely significant to show that the deterrent force  and readiness of the Japan-U.S. security alliance are powerful,”  Foreign Minister Kishida said to reporters.

I think even if they do such a thing, there is no effect. Therefore, we should have a conversation with N.Korea.
