Nowadays, a lot of people use smartphone instead of future phone. The introduction of the iPhone has stimulated Japanese smartphone market and the number of smartphone users has been sharply increasing. And now even elementary school children have smartphone. Smartphone makes our lives comfortable and efficient. So I would like to write about merits of using smartphone.

First, smartphone has almost same functions with computer, so you can work anywhere by carrying smartphone. For example, you are able to check the PC e-mail and make out reports while taking the train. Taking a computer is so tough and you can use it only when you have a seat in the train. However, you are able to use smartphone even when the train is so crowded and you do not have a seat.

Second, you can enjoy playing video games with your smartphone. Better yet, there are so many kinds of games in the application store and you can get majority of the games for free. So playing video games with smartphone would be great for killing time.

Finally, you can study by using smartphone. Recently, teaching materials for smartphone has been invented and there are various applications which make your study efficient. For instance, there is an application which you can learn English grammar like playing a quiz game. By using smartphone, your study may be more efficient.

Some people may say that smartphone has bad effect on using people, such as decreasing eyesight, addiction on smartphone and increasing cell phone rates. However, we can overcome these demerits by using it moderately and properly. Therefore, smartphone give us a lot of merits in my opinion.
