This movie is a documentary, showing us Norm Chomsky’s political idea towards American politics and an inequality within the country.  He is a world famous groundbreaking professor of linguistics, also known as a political activist.

I learned his theory of language learning in some communication classes I was taking, but I did not know about the political side of his life.

In the movie, he listed 10 different principles of the concentration of wealth and power. In the beginning of the movie, he was saying that the financial institutions have a big influence on American economy, and the political decision.  Many countries have the same structure including Japan. Although the government hold up an idea of democracy, in the actual situation, only some groups are controlling the nation and the groups are often institutions or companies which have a big influence on the economy, so that they can take hold of the right of political decision by reducing democracy in a not visual way. So what the public wants does not have an impact what the government does.

The influence of money in politics is not something ordinary citizens can change easily. It has always been a big issue in every country in the world. However, as long as the government admits our rights of freedom even only for form’s sake, we can make a movement.
