Hello, everyone.  I’m Emi.  Cinderella is a 2015 American romantic fantasy film.  Its story is inspired by Walt Disney’s 1950 animated film of the same name.  The heroine, Ella is born to parents living on a beautiful estate in a peaceful kingdom.  She has been taught to believe in magic by her mother since she was a little girl.  After her mother’s death from sick, her father remarries Lady Tremaine.  Although Lady Tremaine buries her with Tremaine’s two daughters even after her father dies during his business, she continues to believe in magic.  Then, she joins a royal ball with magic that she wears a beautiful dress and a pair of magical glass slippers.  After the ball, the prince looks for her.  Although Lady Tremaine disturbs him, he finds her and they can meet again.  I will analyse this movie with two perspectives.

First point is back ground music.  In this movie, we can listen to many pieces of music constantly.  In other many movies, there are some pieces of back ground music, but there are also a lot of scenes without music.  In such scenes, we can hear natural sounds or voice.  However, in this movie, we hardly hear such natural sounds.  I think that it is because this movie is inspired by an animated film.

Second point is color.  Comparing with her stepsisters, Cinderella always wears dark color clothes.  Also, Lady Tremaine wears black or dark green dresses.  I think it implies her cruel and jealous nature.  When Cinderella tries to go to the ball, she wears a pink dress which she remake her mother’s dress.  Pink implies childlike, immature and girlish.  On the other hand, after the fairy godmother magically transforms it, she gets a gorgeous blue gown.  I think that the blue color means her purity.  Also it is said that blue calls happiness, so Cinderella wears the blue dress to the ball.

To conclude, Cinderella is a movie with a lot of ingenious devices to tell some messages without words.  It is not just a movie of a fairy tale for children.  I want to recommend for adult people to see this movie.
