I think that it is not good to be too strict with children. It would lead to reduce their mental level and have the opposite effect on them. For example, despite the parent’s feelings, children don’t do  their homework, go to bed early and get up early, help with the housework and so on.  Children need learn what they should do, what they are interested in, and how they accomplish them.
