Avatar” is a new masterpiece from James Cameron, the director of the blockbusters “The Terminator” and “Titanic. The beautiful visual world created by Cameron’s signature science fiction cinematography and the original storyline that drew people in immediately made the film popular, and it became the number one movie of all time at the box office. Other directors have praised Cameron for his “revolutionary work in the world of cinema” by introducing cutting-edge filming techniques and creating a cinematic world never seen before in this film. The planet Pandora is said to be the closest planet to our solar system. It is a planet with more beautiful and mysterious nature and a unique ecosystem than Earth, where intelligent Na’vi live a primitive life among the nature. In the near future, a resource development company in search of new resources to solve humanity’s energy problems discovers that the ore unobtanium lies dormant on Pandora. In order to mine it, the company’s scientists contact and negotiate with the Na’vi, but they firmly refuse. The colonel, who is annoyed with Dr. Grace’s peaceful negotiations with the Na’vi and wants to use force to subdue them, orders the doctors to report in confidence the information they have on the Na’vi and Pandora. When told that if he succeeded, he would assist in their return to Earth and the healing of their feet, Jake agreed. As the story unfolded, the humans decided on a means of destroying the Na’vi and extracting their resources by the roots. The Na’vi are outnumbered by an army of bomb-laden fighter jets and helicopters in the sky, mercenaries, giant power suits and tanks on land, and their counterattack is futile. One by one, their comrades fall, and Jake is driven into a corner. Then a swarm of Ikran appeared in the sky and a swarm of giant creatures appeared on land and attacked RDA’s forces. The Eywa trees answered Jake’s prayers and gathered the creatures. The formation reversed itself and defeated the RDA Corporation’s forces one after another. Finally, they succeed in shooting down Quaritch’s fighters and dragging him out. With Quaritch dead, the RDA Corporation decides to withdraw from Pandora. The employees returned to Earth, except for Jake’s collaborators who decided to remain on the planet. Jake then finished the video recording, which he decided would be his last, and left the settlement. The villagers gathered at the Eywa tree to perform a ceremony. Under the tree lay Jake and his avatar, his soul about to be transferred to the avatar’s body by Eywa’s power. With the blessing of his friends, Jake’s avatar woke up strong.
This film shows through science fiction the brutality of human beings who are willing to do anything for the sake of their egos against other human groups. The film does not merely express the weakness of the human heart, but also includes a fun element that will stay in people’s memories and give them an opportunity to think about human beings.
