Her eye discourses is a 2020 Japanese movie directed by Takahiro Miki. The Japanese title is “kimi no me ga toikaketeiru”. It stars Yuriko Yoshitaka (Akari) and Ryusei Yokohama (Rui). This movie is remade 2011 Korean movie “only you”.

Akari is visually disabled, but lead a life cheerfully. She lost her sight and her parents because of the car accidents on a Christmas day. She was driving a car and looking aside. Rui was former boxing athlete, but he does not do boxing any more because he committed a fraud and arrested. They met accidentally and fell in love. He decided to go to a illegal gambling match to earn a money for her surgery of her eye. Her sight was recovered, but he left her because he blamed himself that the car accident was his fault. Two years later, they met again.

I was so impressed by this movie and could not stop crying. Rui was a bad guy, but he had a tough past. He was abandoned by his mother and always alone. “Akari” means “light” in Japanese and as her name shows, she always made him happy. She had many difficulties, but she never gave up. Their pure love touch many people’s heart.
