Wonder is an American drama film which is based on the novel published in 2012.

A 10-year-old boy, Auggie Pullman was born with a rare medical facial deformity and his appearance is different from other people due to so many different surgeries in order to see, smell, speak and hear.

Auggie has been home-schooled, but as he turned into fifth grade, his parents decide to enroll him in a public school in which is the totally new environment for him and he encounters a lot of hardships.

Auggie’s positive attitude that he tries to fit in the new environment and feel good about himself, no matter what he look like encourages us to face difficulties each people has, and overcome it.

From this film, I learned that it won’t make any differences if I keep escaping from the hardship, but I need to take an action to overcome it.

Yet more, it shows not only Auggie’s problems, but also the hardships other family members and his friends have, therefore, it gives us the many types of tips to go through the difficult situations.

I would especially recommend this film to tweenagers who are concerned about the friendships in school since it has a meaningful messages about kindness and friendship and would definitely help them.
