The English language school in Greenwich was called ‘Isis’ before.  However, they have to change their name because the name ‘Isis’ gives negative impressions for people.  According to BBC news, there are a few ‘negative comments’ for staff of this school wearing Isis T-shirts.

Not only this school in Greenwich, but also there are many language school using names ‘Isis’ in the world. They have no relationship with Islamic terrorist group, but it is certain that people around the world have bad impression.

Of course, changing name involve costs.  They must be received economical damage.

Should they have changed the name?  In this case, I think that they made good decision.  Such as repetitional risk often happens after big disasters or incidents.  It is difficult to change someone’s judgement about the reputation or their impression about something.
