Today I heard a shocking custom of Islamic society; “honor killing”.

Do you know what it means?

A woman is killed by her family member because of refusing her arranged merrage, or having sex with other men, including the case of rape.

They regard her that she brought shame or dishonor upon her family or community.

The book called “Burned Alive” is a documentary of honor killing.

The author of the book is a victim of honor killing: she was burned by her family and miraculously she was alive.

I’m sorry about telling such cruel story here.

However, we mustn’t ignore this cruel truth because it still exists in 21st century.

In this moment, a women might be killed by her family.
