Pakistani woman stoned to death by her family members

pakistan

Have you ever imaged you are killed by your family? I can’t image. Although, it happened in Pakistan May 27, 2014, one young lady was killed by her family.

Her name is Farzana Parveen, who is 25 years old. She had married a man, she was very happy. However her family was unhappy because they did not admit her marriage.

Her father wanted to marriage a man who he recommended while she didn’t. In Pakistan has a rule which women have to marriage a man who their fathers decide. She broke the rule then they killed her.

Breaking a rule is humiliation in Pakistan. Her family got dishonor because of her. Therefor they decided kill her. She was attacked by a group of about 20 people, including her brothers, father and cousin.

“One family member made a noose of rough cloth around her neck while her brothers smashed bricks into her skull”, police said.

Her family said it was justice, it was So-called honor killings.

It means women killed by families for actions that are considered dishonorable.

In Pakistan, 869 women died of So-called honor killings last year.

I read this article I really shocked. I think women need to the right of free and equality in Pakistan.
