In coronavirus pandemic, we had a lot of problem, especially about money. Most people received an emergency cash allowance, 100,000 yen, but it took a long time to provide this payment. This pandemic will continue more, so Japanese government should link ‘My Number’ system and all bank account information as soon as possible and improve online system to provide next allowance quickly. I have three reason why I suggest this.

First, do you know that the truth is that last allowance was supposed to be given only families in need? According to MONEYIZM, if poor households were given 300,000 yen, the number would be 13,000,000 and it would cost 390,000,000,000(thirty-nine billion). However, the new system of allowances gives 100,000 yen each person and it costed twelve trillion. It is not efficient. If the government could provide money to only families in need, the government would be able to use extra money for other support such as restaurants’ rent.

Second, please imagen. We cannot receive a cash allowance quickly, what will you do? Yes, of course you will continue working outside or if you are a student, you will look for a new part-time job to make a living. I mean that this situation will connect to spread of infection of coronavirus. According to The Tokyo newspaper and NEWSWEEK, only 2.7 percent of households were given the cash allowance at June seventh and Keiichi Kaya, an economic analyst said that Japanese government could not use the ‘My Number’ system to provide the cash allowance. Therefore, the relief was so late. Because of failure of using ‘My Number’ system, providing payments was so late and it connect to spread of coronavirus infection.

Third, please consider which is important, life or individual information? Japanese government think over individual information even if it is emergency situation. According to OVO, Fumiko Ogawa, a lawyer said that new ‘My Number’ system will not violate individual information. Many people worry about violation of individual information, but it seldom be happened. To give next allowance, Japanese government should attach importance to this purpose and link ‘My Number’ system to all bank account information right away.

Considering this problem from three aspects, efficiency, infection and individual information, Japanese government should link ‘My Number’ system and all bank account information as soon as possible.
