Jubiläum der diplomatischen Beziehung zwischen der Schweiz und Japan

On 28 September, a light event was held in Bern, the capital of Switzerland to celebrate the150th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Switzerland diplomatic relationship.

It is a unique art of lights that the picture moves reacting the people’s motions.

The event was produced by Ishii Mikiko, a world-renowned lighting designer, and her daughter, Ishii Lisa Akari.

As people walked on “Hugakusanjurokkei” which was drawn by Katsushika Hokusai who was an artist and flourished in Edo era, various marvelous images such as ripples emerged and they attracted the audience.

Mikiko said “I hope Japan and Switzerland get together and create a peaceful world in the following 150 years as well.”

Recently we have many sad accidents or horrible tragedies, so I’m glad to find this happy news. I’m really proud of Japanese lights artists.
