The main character, Gil is a dramatist and dreams of success as a novelist. He admires the artists in the ’20s.

The story begins when Gil and his girlfriend do sightseeing in Paris. One day, he left his girlfriend after having dinner with their friends, he walked around Paris alone. When the bell which alarmed 12 o’clock rang, a car that was 20’s style came toward him and stopped. Then, he was invited by people in the car and rode on it. Surprisingly, they arrived at the party in which artists in 20’s gathered. He met his favorite artists such as Cole Porter, Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, his wife Zelda, Picasso, and Hemingway there. Gil talked with them and got interested in the ’20s more and more.

On the contrary, his girlfriend criticized his nostalgic character. She could not understand why he was obsessed with the ’20s so much and could not share his perspective. Consequently, they broke up.
