I will introduce one of my most favorite YouTube videos. It is “MORE ENJOY FENCING” made by the Japanese Fencing Association in 2015.

I knew this video when I was a high school student who belonged to the school’s fencing team. When I saw this video for the first time, I was surprised at how cool it was. This is not a normal introduction video of fencing. In this video, the rule and competition type of fencing are summarized using some attractive ways.

First of all, the light effect is used a lot in this video. Since the movement of the sword is very fast, it is difficult for amateurs to follow the sword. However, in this video, the motion of the sword is expressed by lines of light. Therefore, viewers can easily understand how the sword moved.

Secondly, up-tempo music is played effectively in the video. Originally, the fencing match venues are very quiet. While it is a good situation for fencers to concentrate on the game, the audience sometimes feel boring. However, since this video plays an upbeat song from begging to end, it makes fencing matches more powerful.

In conclusion, this YouTube video explains fencing in a visually and aurally enjoyable way. I hope people know the attractiveness of fencing through this wonderful video.
