There is an organization named the GLAAD Media Institute which studies how many LGBTQ characters there are on TV. According to this organization, LGBTQ characters made up over 10 percent of all regular series characters on TV. Actually, this is the highest percentage since GLAAD started its reporting.
The report says that most of LGBTQ characters on TV are gay men. However, it does not reflex real world. The agency recommend that there are 20 percent of all series characters as LGBTQ by 2025.
Megan Townsend, who is a GLAAD’s director of entertainment research and analysis, says that it is important for TV shows to reflect viewers’ lives and their culture. In the time when people have more opportunities to watch entertainment, TV shows have to be attractive for viewers.
In my opinion, accepting LGBTQ people is sometimes difficult for some people, but it is important to learn about LGBTQs. Actually, I have a friend who is a lesbian. She has a girlfriend and she seems to be very happy when she is with her girlfriend. She is frank with her gender personality, and I learned from her that there are lot of form of gender and love. I hope that more LGBTQ people will be accepted by societies.

Your writing was really clear and I enjoyed it. There are many new systems in Japanese universities as well that only lgbtq boys can enter women university. I think it’s a big first step but it also has a problem. This lgbtq issues are so complicated.
I enjoyed reading your post! I think people should think more flexible about LGBTQ people. I want to become friends with LGBTQ people like you.
