In recent years, Japan also has faced the problem of overtourism due to a surge in tourists. Popular destinations like Kyoto and Kamakura have seen a dramatic increase in visitors, impacting local residents’ daily lives. The fact influence public transportation too. Visitors basically use the system, so trains or buses are too much packed. Sometimes, people can see visitors occupay the priority seats in the train. This situation disturb Japanese politeness and order. In response, the Japanese government and local authorities are implementing measures to promote sustainable tourism. These include systems to limit the number of visitors and campaigns to distribute tourism more evenly throughout the year.

For example, Mt.Fuji has started admission fee since July, 2024. People who want to clime Mt.Fuji have to pay 2000 yen when they surpass 5 th station.

I think this is reasonable idea. Climers will feel more responsibility to go into natural environment which have to be protected. Japanese goverment should support to protect amaging Japanese sites.
