I had had trouble writing this theme in front of my teacher, but I decided to write it finally.

Honestly, many students have done other subject homework during class, especially junior high school.

It calls “内職”(naishoku) in Japanese. To be surprised, there is no this habit in other countries because the number of classmates is less than Japan, and a teacher can take care of every students easily, then this habit cannnot success.

I found interesting paper related its topic. This is a Tokyo University online news paper. (【受験生応援連載2022】東大生に聞く 内職はアリ? ナシ? – 東大新聞オンライン (todaishimbun.org))

The reason students do “naishoku” is

・The ways to teach are different between school teachers and cram school teachers. Many students prioritize cram school teachers and turn into free time during class.

・Students feel that school classes are not useful for university entrance examinations.

・School classes are boring.

I agree with these Tokyo university student’s opinions strongly.

It cannnot avoid to feel classes are boring. A school teacher needs to teach with every student’s understanding. It is hard because some students study well, on the other hand, other students cannnot study well, and a teacher needs to teach slowly for them.

In universities or cram schools, student can study smoothly because the level of a classmate’s study ability is almost same.

Therefore, I do not “naishoku” after entering university.

I feel good to have learnd many things by wonderful my university teachers every day.
